About The Suffolk Foundation

The Suffolk Foundation is your community foundation, created through the generosity of local people to support charities and community groups in Suffolk, from which we all benefit by improving the quality of life for everyone in Suffolk.

We are here to connect local people who care passionately about Suffolk with grassroots causes that really make a difference to our local communities. As an independent grant-maker, we support local charities and community groups who are tackling disadvantage and addressing real needs at a community level in whatever form it takes, targeting our grants to where the needs are greatest.

Established in 2005, we have already given away over £7 million in grants to help local people find local solutions to local community needs from the grassroots up across Suffolk.

We manage charitable funds donated by individuals and organisations, building endowment funds to ensure a future of sustainable grant-making, and acting as the vital link between local donors and local needs.

All proceeds from Suffolk Dog Day will go to help support our work. Over the last five years Suffolk Dog Day has raised over £240,000 to make a real difference to those most in need in Suffolk.

Visit The Suffolk Foundation stand on the day, visit us on Facebook or www.suffolkfoundation.org.uk for further information.

The event is run entirely by the committee and over 100 volunteers on the day.
